  • I will show you a cool example of Rube Goldberg's idea in action iwth a Honda commercial. Then I'll show you some examples of completed projects, like the one we will be doing.
  • Then, I would like you to do this interactivity. Please do the tool shed last, and show me your score when you've finished.

Tuesday and Wednesday (1/24 and 1/25):

  • Create notepad document after my instruction. There is a video tutorial in the Instructional Videos folder, inside Others --> Creating Notepads
  • Print ONE to check for appropriate transparency.
  • When you're satisfied with your notepad document, print 25 more and store them in your binder (but don't punch them).

Thursday and Friday (1/26 and 1/27):

  • Create notepads from printed documents
  • Please remember to just print one copy to see if your background is faded enough, and that your graphic is evenly placed in the four quartiles of the document.
  • Then remove your lines, and print 25 pages.
  • Mr. Berg will help you at the cutter. You will cut and stack your 25 pages so that you have a total of 100 notepad sheets.
  • Stack your notepad sheets together as you would like them glued, and give them to Mr. Berg.

Week of 1/16/12

7th Grade

Monday and Tuesday (1/16 and 1/17):

  • Today we are making notepads, making good use of our recycled paper.

Wednesday and Thursday (1/18 and 1/19):

  • We are doing a quick Flight and Space unit this week.

  • If your drawing is complete, you will be completing the Safety Unit next so you can use the machinery in the shop to create your pegboard.

  • There are no video instructions this time. I expect you to be able to use the knowledge you now have about how to create parts using the software.

  • You will create these designs by watching my video, and doing what I do in the Inventor program on your own. Save your designs to your student folder. I recommend you create a Tech Ed folder there if you haven't already.
